There are a host of “Nutraceticals” which reduce hair loss and maintain hair growth in a variety of different ways. Saw palmetto, caffeine, taurine, pycnogenol and beta-sitosterol are well known to protect the hair and target different factors that cause hair to fall. Saw palmetto cannot be used in formulations with iron, however, as saw palmetto prevents iron absorption.
